…and this is a little more about Mar Otero Photography.
When I was little, I remember always having many photographs at home, but especially at my grandmother’s house. There were printed photos in frames, albums and slides, and I loved looking at them to remember past moments and to discover relatives I never had the chance to meet.
Little by little, this is what shaped me: the idea that a single photograph can tell a story and help people share their memories and experiences with the people they love. I have always felt deeply connected to that, and it still fills me with emotions that are hard to describe.
I decided to enter the world of family photography because I am passionate about the energy, feelings and emotions that families share, especially the little ones.
Today I can say that I get to do what I truly love, what inspires me most and what brings me real fulfilment.
For more than 10 years, I have been capturing moments that families will treasure for a lifetime. Being invited to preserve those memories fills me with energy and continues to inspire me to grow, learn and evolve in the world of family photography.
Being a mother of three has deeply shaped the way I work. It has made my approach, my style and my editing more natural, honest and focused on real connection. I am especially inspired by soft tones, simple beauty and a calm, timeless style.
Above all, I focus on making little ones feel comfortable, free to be themselves and able to enjoy the experience. I want every session to feel relaxed and enjoyable, so that families leave not only with beautiful photographs, but also with a lovely memory of the time they shared together.
When I work, I follow the same values that guide me in family life: respect, listening, play, patience, and giving children the space and time they need. That is what helps create a warm and rewarding experience for everyone.
Our Team
David
David is my husband and also my assistant, my second photographer, my pillar, and for times when I have to act as a mother, David will do the photo reports for you. He will make sure, just like me, that all the photos are a nice memory and you have a great experience in his hands. We make a good team both professionally and personally and David knows where to position himself to take that desired photo.
